Saribung Trek difficulty
Saribung Trek is a difficult trek. You will walk around 6 to 7 hours a day on rugged and steep paths. Plus, the isolation of the region also has a huge hand to make Saribung Trek 25 Days overall demanding. You need to be in good shape and health to go on this trek.
Best time to go to Saribung Trek
There are five seasons in Nepal, and among them, spring & autumn are known as the best time of the year to go on Saribung Trek. Spring comprises March, April, and May, whereas autumn includes October and November. These are the most stable months in terms of weather and climate. Clear blue sky and superb views make the journey tempting.
Other seasons like Summer, Monsoon, and Winter is not an ideal time to go on Saribung Trekking because of unstable weather, heavy rainfall, and harsh cold. The trail gets slippery with unclear views. Moreover, most of the teahouse also get closed.
Accommodation during Saribung Trek
Teahouse and camping are the main accommodation during Saribung Trek. Rooms mostly have two beds, which means you need to share it with a fellow trekker. The services in teahouses are nothing fancy even you will get the most basic room with a bed, blanket, and pillow to pass the night. We recommend you to get a nice sleeping bag for yourself as it can get very cold at night and the blanket provide in the teahouse will not be enough. While camping all the necessary equipment is carried by us.
Food & Water on Saribung Trek
If you are staying in the teahouse, then all the meals will be served by their menu. Dishes like dal bhaat, veggies, curries, chapati, bread, eggs, meat, noodles, momo, thukpa, rice pudding, etc can be seen on the menu. During your stay in camp, our trained porters will cook and serve the meals. You can ask them to make a particular dish for you as per the availability.
You can get boiled water in the teahouse. and can fill your bottle. Plastic water bottles are available on the trail, but it will cost you a fortune and only increase waste. Therefore, we highly suggest you carry reusable water.
